Setting it up properly helps visitors understand who you are and what you do.</p> <h3>Profile Basics</h3> <p>To set up your profile, navigate to your <a href="/dashboard/editor" style="color: #2563eb; text-decoration: underline;">profile editor</a> and complete the following:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Display Name:</strong> This is the name that appears at the top of your profile. Use your real name or professional name.</li> <li><strong>Username:</strong> Your unique identifier that appears in your profile URL (slash.name/yourname). Choose something memorable and professional.</li> <li><strong>Profile Picture:</strong> Upload a clear, professional photo that represents you or your brand.</li> <li><strong>Bio:</strong> Write a brief description about yourself, your work, or what visitors can expect from your profile.</li> <li><strong>Location:</strong> Optionally add your location to help visitors find you.</li> </ul> <h3>Profile Customization</h3> <p>After setting up the basics, you can customize your profile further:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Banner Image:</strong> Add a custom banner to make your profile stand out</li> <li><strong>Theme:</strong> Choose from our collection of themes or create a custom color scheme</li> <li><strong>Social Links:</strong> Add your social media profiles to connect with visitors</li> <li><strong>Content Blocks:</strong> Add links, text blocks, images, and more to showcase your work</li> </ul> <h3>Best Practices</h3> <ul> <li>Keep your bio concise but informative (2-3 sentences)</li> <li>Use a high-quality profile picture (at least 400x400 pixels)</li> <li>Update your profile regularly to keep it current</li> <li>Test your profile on both desktop and mobile devices</li> </ul> <p><strong>Tip:</strong> Your profile is live as soon as you create it, so make sure you're happy with your setup before sharing it widely.</p>
