Setting Up Your Profile
Your Slash profile is your digital identity. Setting it up properly helps visitors understand who you are and what you do.
Profile Basics
To set up your profile, navigate to your profile editor and complete the following:
- Display Name: This is the name that appears at the top of your profile. Use your real name or professional name.
- Username: Your unique identifier that appears in your profile URL (slash.name/yourname). Choose something memorable and professional.
- Profile Picture: Upload a clear, professional photo that represents you or your brand.
- Bio: Write a brief description about yourself, your work, or what visitors can expect from your profile.
- Location: Optionally add your location to help visitors find you.
Profile Customization
After setting up the basics, you can customize your profile further:
- Banner Image: Add a custom banner to make your profile stand out
- Theme: Choose from our collection of themes or create a custom color scheme
- Social Links: Add your social media profiles to connect with visitors
- Content Blocks: Add links, text blocks, images, and more to showcase your work
Best Practices
- Keep your bio concise but informative (2-3 sentences)
- Use a high-quality profile picture (at least 400x400 pixels)
- Update your profile regularly to keep it current
- Test your profile on both desktop and mobile devices
Tip: Your profile is live as soon as you create it, so make sure you're happy with your setup before sharing it widely.
